Het belangrijkste doel van de conferentie is om te discussiëren over de rol van lokaal jeugdwerk in het verbeteren van de betrokkenheid en participatie van jongeren in lokale gemeenschappen.

Dit evenement bouwt voort op de samenwerkingen die voortkomen uit de Strategic National Agency Cooperation, Europe Goes Local (gecoördineerd door JINT) en Democracy Reloading (gecoördineerd door le BIJ, het Nationaal Agentschap van de Franse Gemeenschap).

Between 1 January and 30 June 2024, Belgium will chair the Presidency of the European Union. And JINT is supporting! In February 2024, the coordinating team is organising the European conference 'Local Youth Work and Democracy' to contribute to the Belgian EU Presidency's objectives in the field of youth and youth work policy.

JINT vzw is looking for 10 workshop facilitators to facilitate the parallel sessions of the event and 6 rapporteurs who will record the results of the different sessions.

The main purpose of the conference is to discuss the role of local youth work in improving youth involvement and participation in local communities.

This event builds on the collaborations resulting from the Strategic National Agency Cooperation, Europe Goes Local (coordinated by JINT) and Democracy Reloading (coordinated by le BIJ, the National Agency of the French Community).
